The famous American actress Robin Givens, who studied pre-med program at Sarah Lawrence College, made her debut in acting with the movie "The Wiz" in 1978. She then continued acting leading roles in several movies, television shows & Broadway plays winning many Awards and nominations. The mother of two sons, Givens supports the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

Robin Givens was born to Reuben Givens and Ruth Roper in New York City on November 27, 1964. She is a Sagittarius and has a sister. The two were raised in New Rochelle, New York, by their mother Ruth. When Robin Givens was 15 she began attending Sarah Lawrence College. Later, she took some classes at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Robin Givens was going places because she was beautiful, an up and coming actress, and a personality that helped her land roles like the one that would make her career.

Givens became the leading actress on “Head of the Class”, which propelled her to super fame. She also began dating Eddie Murphy, who was her co-star in “Head of the Class”, Brian Robbins. While she was starring on the show she also dated Brad Pitt, but that was before he gained superstar status. Robin Givens and Mike Tyson began dating during the end of the sitcom and eventually were married. During this tumultuous time for Robin she starred in “Sparks” and was also in several movies including “Dangerous Intentions”, “Blankman” and “Book of Love.”

She has appeared as a model in magazines like “Mademoiselle” and “Seventeen” as well as acted in soap operas and various episodes of other sitcoms.
